# March 22-Battle
**Intro** *Nothing good ever happens in the dark recesses of the Black Temple, or at least that is what the Lab believes.* *For days, Doc Gibbons and the members of the Lab have deliberated over a sudden strike against the Path. Their aim is to retrieve the Element 115 that the Path plundered in South America.* *The Lab believes the only blow that will truly defeat the Path is the destruction of their stronghold and the re-appropriation of their reserves of Element 115.* *With that in mind, Mega Robot has been chosen as the Lab's agent of chaos to break open the defenses of the Black Temple.* *The Black Temple glows acrid green, deep in the winding and obscure depths of an unrecognizable cave.* *Mega Robot approaches with caution, unsure of what sort of battle he will fight tonight.* *The Lab's War Council waits, on edge, unknowing of whether the carefully-planned equipment they gave to Mega Robot will prove up to the task.* *Meanwhile, Mega Swamp drifts between focus and fatigue. As the Path's Megas have rotated between watch duty, nothing exciting has happened in a long, long while.* *Mega Robot reaches the entrance of the Black Temple. It seems undefended, with a frail wrought-iron gate that could hardly hold up to a Mega with purpose. He reaches for the bars…* *Mega Swamp snaps awake. Something is wrong. There's an unfamiliar sense of presence.* *Mega Swamp leaves his watch-post and charges for the entrance, only to see the gate torn open.* *Mega Robot and Mega Swamp behold each other.* **Round 1** *Mega Robot draws the Stun Ray, aims it at Mega Swamp, and pulls the trigger. A flat, wide jet of light streaks toward Mega Swamp.* *Mega Swamp grimaces as the light slams into him. He takes minor damage, and is stunned! Can Mega Swamp recover?* *Mega Swamp fails to shake off the attack! He is both damaged and stunned, and cannot implement his War Council's plan this turn.* **Round 2** *Mega Robot uses his exceptionally advanced agility to dart within Mega Swamp's defenses, striking him twice.* *Each attack does some damage!* *With a flick of the wrist, Mega Swamp sends the slimy tendrils of a Mop Dripping in Goblin Piss toward Mega Robot.* *Mega Robot is struck for major damage and finds himself standing in a rancid puddle of urine.* *Mega Robot short-circuits for additional, minor damage in the rancid puddle!* *Oh, no! The fighting has shattered canisters of Mega Serum.* **Round 3** *Mega Robot collects some of the Serum in a handy bottle and can access a new action.* *Mega Swamp crumbles a fragment from the Rare Ziotic Crystal over himself. The dust seeps in through his porous body, and his eyes glow with power and rage.* *With every glare, a laser fires from his eyes toward Mega Robot. It does minor damage, and will continue each turn!* **Round 4** *Mega Robot drinks the handy bottle of serum, restoring some health and empowering his next attack.* *Wildlife erupts from Mega Swamp, dousing Mega Robot in a sticky, smelly blend of frog-spat water, mushroom spores, stagnant water, and rotting fruit.* *Mega Robot is struck for some damage, and struggles to reorient himself... his next attack may be slightly less effective.* **Round 5** *Mega Robot unleashes the power of the Serum he drank, empowering his primary attack!* *Mega Robot uses his exceptionally advanced agility to dart within Mega Swamp's defenses, striking him twice.* *Each attack does more than some damage!* *Wildlife erupts from Mega Swamp, dousing Mega Robot in a sticky, smelly blend of frog-spat water, mushroom spores, stagnant water, and rotting fruit.* *Mega Robot is struck for some damage, and struggles to reorient himself... his next attack may be slightly less effective.* *Remember, Mega Swamp's luminous, Ziotic glare is still striking for minor damage each turn!* **Round 6** *The Lab has decided to use one FEMS capsule, recovering minor health. There is a chance for their next attack to be weaker.* *Mega Robot holds Tobcat's Orb up in both hands and sends a current of energy through it, shouting an odd battle cry. The orb starts to glow and a concussive wave of dark energy pulses through the room.* *Mega Robot focuses and shrugs off the negative side effects of the FEMS Capsule.* *The dark energy from the Orb visibly concusses Mega Swamp, and does major damage! Will Mega Swamp shake it off before his attack?* *Mega Swamp shakes off the stun! His attack will be slightly less effective, but he will still be able to implement his War Council's plan this turn.* *Mega Swamp rolls around in the Serum.* *He seems temporarily enraged by the overwhelming amount of Serum.* *The Serum removes the weakness from his next attack, and empowers him!* *The Path, wounded, is now deciding whether to use their FEMS capsule.* *The Path has decided to use one FEMS capsule, recovering minor health.* *The fighting is shaking the very foundations of the Black Temple. Walls crack, shards rain from the ceiling, and the battlefield is covered with fragments.* **Round 7** *Mega Robot darts in toward Mega Swamp and lunges with Jenkins' Sharpened Valet Key.* *The Sharpened Valet Key cleaves through the glowing Fragment, still striking for more than some damage! Mega Swamp is on his last legs.* *With no other attack for the serum to empower, the enhanced Mega Swamp sends an unusually extreme Ziotic laser glare at Mega Robot.* *Mega Robot is down for the count! The vicious laser pushed him over the edge, and he cannot struggle to his feet.* *Mega Swamp has prevailed, against the offensive odds of Mega Robot's momentum and tempo.*
