There’s a strange scent in the air, and you hear a hissing sound, like some sort of gas is being pump—.

You lose consciousness.

You find yourself in a lab….

-------- Scientists wake up to find themselves in A.P.E. Lab. Unfortunately it is under lockdown from an Amber Alert due to some items gone missing and multiple apes needing help around the lab. Exploring the lab can reveal the layout as mapped below.

Typing help provides some useful commands to get started navigating the lab.

You may move around by going NORTH, EAST, SOUTH, or WEST. You may LOOK at your surroundings. You may EXAMINE or TALK TO any characters you encounter. You may EXAMINE, TAKE, or GIVE any items you find. You may check your INVENTORY. And there may be some other actions you can take as well...

-------- Begin by navigating to Exam Room 3 (F4) where upon taking a look around, an old lab coat can be found.

You are in a laboratory examination room. The room is sterile, white, and hi-tech, with light emanating from an unseen source.

There is a door to the west.

There is an old lab coat here.

>examine lab coat It is an old lab coat with pockets. It has an A.P.E. logo on it.

>examine pocket It looks like you could sew a USB stick into one of the pockets. In the other is a red access pass.

>take red access pass Taken.

-------- Next, navigate to the Security Station (B5) where upon taking a look around, a computer kiosk can be found. Insert the red access pass into the kiosk to see a list of tasks that need to be completed to lift the Amber Alert, cancel the lockdown and be able to leave the lab.

This is the facility security monitoring station. An ape sits at an official-looking counter. A computer kiosk stands alongside it.

A hallway leads north and you can see a reception area to the south.

-------- Exit the Lab With all the apes having been given their requested items, the facility Amber Alert has been lifted. Returning to the Facility Entry (A6) reveals an open exit.

This is the facility entry. To the south, frosted glass doors allow sunlight in but obscure the campus beyond. Above them, a flashing panel reads "All clear. Have a nice day!"

The reception area is to the east.

Continuing South leads to fresh air

The doors open and you find yourself gazing at campus, blinking in the sun.

Now that you've met all those apes and helped them with what they needed, you should be able to figure out where you are, and—more importantly—where the mega mutant ape is. Good thing you kept track of all the clues!
