# Apes in the Lab

What are the apes trying to tell us

Helping the apes find their needed items and leaving wasn't enough to locating the Mega. Closer analysis was needed about the apes and the items they wanted.

The 9 apes found were:

1587\
9815\
8162\
4946\
7553\
6715\
2435\
5581\
3178

These can be verified as being the correct apes in the lab by visiting the **Computer Room (D2)**

*<mark style="background-color:yellow;">The room is lined with computer workstations, most of which have been turned off. One computer is on.</mark>*

*<mark style="background-color:yellow;">Exits lead east and west, and a pleasant aroma wafts from the south.</mark>*

**>examine computer**\
*<mark style="background-color:yellow;">The computer screen reads "Employee Monitoring System. TYPE APE ID" and has a flashing command prompt. There is a keyboard which you can use to type.</mark>*

**>type 1587**\
*<mark style="background-color:yellow;">"1587: THIS APE IS CURRENTLY IN THE FACILITY."</mark>*

Repeating for all 9 apes confirms all 9 IDs and being in the facility.

Each of these apes needed an item that was 9 letters in length and each ID started with a numbers 1-9 indicating an order. The remaining 3 digits in their ID can be used as index value into the item name. (ie. Ape ID 1587 would be the first in order and 587 would index into their item SADDLEBAG to give the letters L A B)

Reading the extracted letters gives LAB SITE ANSWER IS **UMASS AMHERST** which is where Mega Electric could be found!
