Let's Play
Doc left a message on his computer, indicating we needed to meet him in the metaverse, specifically in Sandbox, using the Game Maker Beta Build (https://www.sandbox.game/en/create/game-maker/)
Once inside Applied Primate: Let's Play, scientists were greeted by Doc at the entrance to a game room.
There are 9 mini games or items to find in the room, which upon completion, each gives a crossword style clue to solve.

-------- Pac Man To win, you must collect 114 pellets in a real version of Pac Man where you are Pac Man
This gives the clue Element 44 (9)
-------- Space Invaders To win, you must destroy the 7 ships
This gives the clue Head of a university system (10)
-------- Bowling To win, you must knock down all 12 pins
This gives the clue "Halfway to Silence" poet (3 6)
-------- Bullseye To win, you must hit the target 3 times
This gives the clue One-named British street artist (6)
-------- Jigsaw To win, you must find the 3 missing pieces and complete the puzzle
This gives the clue Capital of the Dominican Republic (5 7)
-------- Uno To win, you must successfully beat the remaining player in Uno
This gives the clue Assessing the performance of (a computer) (12) you are also awarded a music token to be able to use the jukebox as thanks.
-------- Jukebox Use the coin from the Uno game to play the Jukebox
This gives the clue The Bluegrass State (8)
-------- This brings you back to Doc to finish who says you should be able to work out the password.
The last piece of information to be found in the game room is a sign with 9 numbers on it to match the 9 clues.
Each crossword clue can be resolved to a word/phrase that matches the enumeration given in parenthesis.

Each answer contained the last name of a famous baseball player as hinted by "Let's Play" for "Let's Play Ball" commonly announced by the umpire before the start of a baseball game. Identifying the baseball player and the position they played per the position numbering leads to the proper ordering of the clues.
