Doc has left a note about Earth's Mightiest Herons, which despite A.P.E.Bot's assumption this was a puzzle about birds, was actually a puzzle about Earth's Mightiest Heroes, The Avengers. Each given clue could make a phrase that was one letter different from a Marvel Superhero.
For example, the first clue says "Gathering for fans who love the computer from 2001 (3-3)" where the answer is HAL-CON, which is one letter different from the Marvel hero FALCON. The changed letter in the superhero was the letter F.

Reading all the changed letters gave the phrase FIND BLACK TEMPLE GATE.
The Black Temple is the birthplace of The Simian Path and is currently guarded by the Mutant Cartel. To find the gate, scientists needed to infiltrate their discord (https://discord.gg/mutantcartel) where recent comments from Darkfang could be seen
Darkfang search for the path to the Black Temple...
Finding the gate to the Black Temple in #characters and clicking The Path symbol below to show allegiance, gave scientists access to #black-temple. It is here that Darkfang informed his minions that "he who you seek is not here, you must continue your quest elsewhere".
Reviewing the pillar, it states "To find the answer look in your core" and then says
"You are... GIBBONIAN PREVOYANT MUTAGENIC Safe Travels"
As suggested, if a person was those three things, and they must look in their core, this indicated to look at the center of those three traits.
