Becoming a Scientist

Meeting a team of A.P.E. scientists at Pier 17 in New York City

Scientists at Pier 17 split interns into search groups to look for Avila. To ensure everyone received critical updates, all interns were upgraded to scientists and given badges to access the internal A.P.E. system for information.

Search teams needed to activate their credentials to begin receiving search updates by texting the number on the badge.

Once entered, Teams were sent through a phone tree to determine where they needed to go.

Teams needed to "activate new contractor credentials", but unfortunately the option was clipped. The numbers in the previous responses were 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, which was the Fibonacci Sequence, and responding with the next number in the sequence, 13, activated the search teams credentials and brought them to the next menu.

Teams needed to indicate they were there for "Manhattan serum retrieval team", but again the option was clipped. The numbers in the previous responses were 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, which were sequential prime numbers, and responding with the next number in the sequence, 41, logged that the team was there for the serum retrieval and brought them to a final menu.

After indicating they were there as part of the Manhattan Serum Retrieval team, they needed to provide how willing they were to encounter hazardous situations. Only one answer was acceptable here and that was "Absolutely LFG", but the system again clipped the message. The numbers in the previous responses were 1, 2, 4, 7, 11, which sequentially added 1, 2, 3, 4, and responding with the next number in the sequence by adding 5, which was 16, gave full access to the A.P.E. Labs portal after entering the supplied code.
