Primatology

Doc has left post-it's all over his journal. Collecting them all and sorting them by rainbow color is the first step to decoding.

ColorText

Red

funds uncertain at the moment; hoping to remain solvent for a few more precious weeks before the lab becomes no-capital and I need to find alternative solutions for keeping the mutations functional

Red-Orange

coffee machine no longer works, looks like I may need to alter my old hotpot and use it for brewing in the morning but on the bright side it'll be just like grad school again

Orange

note to self: adjust angular velocity of centrifuge lest we have another incident with the authorities

Orange-Yellow

no modification needed to the trainers' salary; they are already amply compensated for their work, and who doesn't love a free tote bag

Yellow

so much riding on this latest experiment, the transmutation MUST be successful

Yellow-Green

decided to let the mixture marinate for another week before conversion

Green

it's times like this (3 AM on a weekday with a screaming fire alarm that I can't modify) that I'm glad I no longer have roomates

Teal

there are no good outcomes of fobbing these transformed samples off on someone else, except of course that I no longer have to deal with them and also that smell would probably be gone

Cyan

to add to shopping list: iron to remove persistent rumple from my lab coat, not that anyone else can tell the difference

Blue

I am a sailor on the seas of science, seeking substitute sundry solutions

Purple

might grow some facial hair and vary my appearance a bit, but what to choose: beard, mutton chops, fu manchu, other? all good options, to be sure

Pink

email from my old colleague Raphael LeBousco today looking to catch up while he's in town - how to tell him that the ape he once knew has metamorphosed into someone entirely different

As hinted about in the bottom right, we need to read more about "Primatology" and every post-it contains a word related to changing/altering (ie. mutations, adjust, modification, conversion, etc). These are clues that we need to modify a word in each post-it to reveal a primate with an extra letter.

ie. the Red post-it contail the word "no-capital" which is an anagram of TALAPOIN, a monkey, with the letter C left over.

Extracting the extra letter from each post-it note and reading them in Rainbow order gives the final answer of CHANGE OF PACE
